The East Village just got a new sandwich shop, so it’s only fair that Williamsburg get one also. Bunk, the Portland, Oregon transplant we told you about back in August, has finally opened in the old Max space on Driggs, just in time to serve up its Thanksgiving sando.

The sandwich shop with multiple locations in Portland was launched by Tommy Habetz (formerly of Lupa) and Nick Wood. (It looks like Habetz’s old boss, Mario Batali, intends to stop into the new outpost soon.) Heading up the kitchen at this location is Jake Adams, former chef de cuisine at Momofuku Milk Bar.
