What do you do when you get bored with your tuna salad? (Portlandia voice)- put a crepe on it! First it was the two Williamsburg locations, and now 14th Street in Manhattan has lost its Subway, this time to a Japanese crepe shop.

According to this banner in the window, it looks like T-Swirl Crepe will be taking over the East Village location between Second and Third Avenue. Of course, IHOP is just a few doors down, but if you like your flapjacks portable and filled with steak, T-Swirl’s got you covered.

We personally can’t wait to try the Okinawa hot dog crepe, and also the slightly less insane looking sweet crepes, like the “Lychee Romantic” and “Mantcha Azuki Bean.” They sound just offbeat enough to be delicious, and right now the only other place you can get them in NYC is Flushing, Queens. As for that tuna sandwich, if you like it the old fashioned American way, don’t worry; your closest, good ol’ generic Subway sandwich is never more than a few blocks away, in this case on the corner of 15th and Third Avenue.
