When we first brought news of SHWICK, details were still a little murky. But today, the “makers market” made some big announcements: the opening date has moved from August 23 to October 11, and though the market originally expected 40 or so vendors, the response to its sticker and poster campaign has been so overwhelming that it’s now touting more than 100 vendors.

When we talked to “Chris C.” in mid-July about SHWICK, he was hesitant to give away his identity. Now he reveals his name is Chris Carew, who with his wife Jinyen Carew started Class Attire, the brand behind the Chalkboard Tee.

Here’s a preliminary list of the vendors (aka SHWICK Makers) who’ll be at the first market on October 11:

Some details are still up in the air, including who will sponsor the event, whether there will be an art fair or a stoop sale, and whether SHWICK will host a large-scale indoor street art exhibition. And if you want to get your brand on board, there’s still time to apply here.
