It’s getting hard to keep track of all the Brooklyn markets now that they’re popping up in Manhattan, even. So you can forgive yourself for missing the opening of Shwick, the much ballyhooed bazaar that — true to its name — finally hit Bushwick on Saturday.

When we first brought news of SHWICK, details were still a little murky. But today, the “makers market” made some big announcements: the opening date has moved from August 23 to October 11, and though the market originally expected 40 or so vendors, the response to its sticker and poster campaign has been so overwhelming that it’s now touting more than 100 vendors.

All ye makers of artisanal Sriracha and hand-crafted jewellery and normcore t-shirts, rejoice! Come August 23, there’ll be yet another market in New York City’s most maker-y borough, from which to hawk your unique and occasionally maligned merchandise.
