Taste of Rockaway has passed, but now you can grab a Taste of Bushwick.
The first annual food fest doubles as a fundraiser for its location, The Bushwick Starr, where you’ll be able to sample food from about a dozen of the neighborhood’s eateries on June 16, from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. Among those who’ll turn the off-off-Broadway theater and its rooftop into a pop-up food court will be Arepera Guacuco, Cafe Ghia, Fritzl’s Lunch Box, Northeast Kingdom, Tchoup Shop @ Heavy Woods, The Bodega, The Sampler, Tortilleria Mexicana Los Hermanos, Henry’s Wine & Spirit, Cafeteria La Mejor. Plus, the local Boar’s Head plant will be reppin’ with a hot dog cart.
The $35 early-bird ticket price (on offer till June 8, when it jumps to $40) also gets you entry into the after party at Bushwick Radio, where Springs will play and rapper LNWD will perform with his producer Brilliant, My Boy. And for $40 more, you can get a bag filled with goodies from Boswyck Farms, Bucolic Bushwick, Circo’s Pastry Shop, Fine & Raw Chocolate, The Sampler, and Sweet and Shin.
Yes, the name of Bushwick Starr’s next production is The Food Was Terrible, but that won’t be the case on June 16. Tickets here.
