Alec Baldwin’s feelings about New York City aren’t exactly a secret, but the tweet above seems a bit harsh. It came after the East 10th Street resident was cuffed and arrested after biking the wrong way down Fifth Avenue, near East 16th Street, this morning. Baldwin shared the arresting officer’s badge number via Twitter and griped, “Meanwhile, photographers outside my home ONCE AGAIN terrified my daughter and nearly hit her with a camera. The police did nothing.”
Police told CBS New York that Baldwin became belligerent when asked for ID and was issued summonses for riding a bike the wrong way and for disorderly conduct. Sources told DNA Info that he told officers “You can wrap those summonses around your head,” and police told The Post and the Daily News that, upon arriving at the East 21st Street stationhouse, he asked, “How old are these officers? They don’t even know who I am.”
