As Pies ‘n’ Thighs readies its Lower East Side location, one of its founders, Southern-grub virtuoso Stephen Tanner, is making moves of his own.

Tanner, who sold his interest in the Southern spot and went on to help open The Commodore (he has also cooked at Diner and Egg), will chef a new restaurant opening in Bushwick later this year.

El Dorado will have two floors plus a rooftop, and a ’50s-to’70s California motel aesthetic, according to its designer, Joe Foglia, who also designed Commodore.

It’ll be located at Ingraham and Bogart streets — just around the corner from Roberta’s.
