This advertisement for the Cellphone Doctor has been roving around the East Village since the shop opened on Avenue C late last year, but the fine weather has brought it out in full force. We’ve seen this guy pedaling down Second Avenue, at a snail’s pace, twice in the past couple of days — to the consternation of bikers.

When we spoke to cycling advocates back in October, AJ Nichols of Harvest Cyclery noted that “‘Bike lane’ in Manhattan, specifically, is synonymous with falafel-cart lane or bag-lady shopping-cart lane or ‘cartwheeling hula hooper fresh back from Burning Man’ lane.” Let’s please not add billboard lane to all that? (Speaking of falafel carts, this ad-on-wheels might even be more annoying than those scrolling LED signs that you can see from five miles away, where a misspelled version of the word “gyro” does 360-degree spins.)

Guys, get a Fiat 500 like Dr. Brendan and clear the way for Citi Bikes. People have dogs to transport.
