photo(4)The Guardian Angels want to “stop the knock out game” with flyers posted near Bowery and Prince, where a 23-year-old Long Island resident was sucker-punched from behind after leaving a bar early Sunday morning.

The flyers, spotted Sunday afternoon, warn pedestrians of a game that’s “senseless and has taken people’s lives.”

It’s uncertain whether the Guardian Angels are also patrolling the neighborhood — the website listed on the flyer is dead and the phone number goes to a jovial answering machine. You don’t see Curtis Sliwa’s boys in red around much anymore but rest assured they’re still kicking, having just celebrated their 35th anniversary.

Kyle Rogers, whose jaw was broken in Sunday’s assault, isn’t the only one who has recently become a possible victim of the knockout game — a 36-year-old was attacked in Vinegar Hill while walking her dogs a little over a week ago.
