Schmackary’s, a Hell’s Kitchen cookie shop that has enough of a cult following that it’s the subject of a BuzzFeed list, is the latest Manhattan spot to open on (or just off of) Bedford Avenue. The cookie shop joins Meatball Shop, Dos Toros, Umami Burger, Sweetgreen, Davey’s Ice Cream, Joe’s Pizza, The Bean, and soon Gunz and Parm in turning Williamsburg’s main drag into a mini Manhattan.

Sweetgreen Is Opening a Williamsburg Outpost Across From Whole Foods
This summer 162 N. 4th Street will be home sweet home to sweetgreen, the Washington, D.C.-based chain of salad spots. The new location, on the corner of Bedford Avenue, will benefit from the foot traffic Whole Foods Willamsburg generates when it eventually opens across the street, and will share a building with forthcoming locations of Umami Burger and Parm.

The Ramen Burger Line Was ‘Redonk,’ and Someone Made an Umami Cronut Burger
Some days ago Williamsburger Matthew Schonfeld got up at 5:30 a.m. to wait in line for a cronut, and then he jumped in the line at the new Umami Burger to create the “Umami cronut burger”!
Maybe it would’ve been the “hypebeast Frankenfood of the decade” had the Ramen Burger not debuted at Smorgasburg this Saturday. As you can see in the above video, the line for Keizo Shimamoto’s burger between fried-noodle buns was “redonk” even though it was raining. (And this wasn’t the type of rain New Yorkers normally line up for).
