There will be a formal vigil tonight at 7 p.m. at the Stonewall Inn for the victims of yesterday’s mass shooting in Orlando at the gay nightclub Pulse. Speakers including governor Andrew Cuomo and mayor Bill De Blasio as well as leaders and activists from the LGBTQ community will address mourners and “call on Congress to stop standing in the way of reasonable gun control laws.”

One Dead, Two Wounded in Bushwick Shooting

Three people were shot, one fatally, shortly before 8 a.m. today in Bushwick. A 53-year-old man was found dead near the corner of Knickerbocker Avenue and Grattan Street with gunshots in his torso, a police spokesperson told Bedford + Bowery. A 57-year-old man was wounded in the torso. A bullet also grazed the hip of a 13-year-old girl as she walked to school, the police said. Authorities are looking for three Hispanics in their mid-20s.

Arrests Made in a Pair of Bushwick Shootings

A 14-year-old Bushwick resident, Richard Gonzalez, has been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon following a shooting that occurred Saturday morning outside a Foot Locker on Knickerbocker Avenue, the police said.
