When one creamery closes, another one opens.
After two years at 201 Bedford Avenue, Williamsburg Creamery will officially close at 10:45 p.m. tonight.
“We sold our establishment to Davey’s Ice Cream,” explained a person who answered the phone at Williamsburg Creamery.
OddFellows, the Williamsburg ice creamery, will not open its East Village location today as originally planned (they’re aiming for next Friday, May 9, with a small chance they’ll hold off until May 16). This morning B+B stopped by the new standing room-only shop on East 4th Street to see what work remains.

When David Yoo, a student at Parsons, and Mohan Kumar, a realtor and DJ, met at a party in the East Village in 2005, they had no idea that one of them would go on to own an ice cream parlor in the neighborhood while the other would open one in Williamsburg.
