Hot on the heels of rooftop programming announcements from Output and Our Wicked Lady, East Williamsburg venue Elsewhere just dropped the lineup for its own rooftop, which will open for the first time on Memorial Day weekend. The club, which opened in November and may or may not have an orgasmic stage, is promising rooftop “happy hours, frozen drinks, local DJs, art programming, weekend food pop-ups, and much more.”

Mission Cantina has apparently closed after three years of serving up Mexican-Chinese-whatever food, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Danny Bowien’s Lower East Side empire is shrinking. According to a Community Board 3 calendar of meetings sent out today, an entity by the name of Mission Vietnamese is interested in a liquor license in the former Pies ‘n’ Thighs space.

Last night, Mission Chinese’s dining room was suddenly interrupted by an impromptu serenade of cheesy Christmas carols and Beatles renditions.
Who was behind this earnest outburst of “Frosty the Snowman” and “Hey Jude?” We peeked over the ledge of the hidden downstairs room and found Jimmy Fallon and crew surrounded by a private feast.
