Last month we shared news that Elsewhere was opening up its rooftop for summer concerts, DJ parties, happy hours, film screenings, and food pop-ups. Now the good folks over at East Williamsburg’s newest venue have sent over some photos of the roof, along with some more details about what to expect.

For the Friday, May 25 launch, the headliner will be masked garage rocker and consummate crowd-worker Nobunny, and the food will be dished out by Mission Chinese, which is set to open up a brick-and-mortar outpost next door (don’t expect to see chef Angela Dimayuga there; she left Mission Chinese last year and just landed a gig with Standard Hotels). On Saturday, Portuguese DJ/producer Branko will throw down some chill global beats and Holy Ground BBQ will sling some of the barbecue that it usually smokes over at The Lot, in Greenpoint.

Both of those shows are ticketed, but Elsewhere says Wednesdays and Thursdays will always be no-cover, with local DJs and a happy hour with frozen drinks. Tuesday evenings will be dedicated to “alternative programming” like art shows, food events, and screenings. The rooftop will be open 5pm till “late,” Tuesday through Sunday. Between picnic tables and benches, there’s seating for around 50 people, plus standing room for about 400 more.
