The team behind Loosie Rouge and Loosie’s Kitchen is opening a café inside of their Williamsburg mini compound, and they’re giving away free Toby’s Estate coffee all summer long. That’s right: Free. Coffee. From 7am to 8am, every day, starting with their opening on Friday.

Once the free java runs dry, the owners of Loosie’s Café hope locals will return for the free wifi, hammocks, and breakfast bites. The café, open daily from 7am to 6pm, is located on the secluded, leafy patio that becomes part of Loosie Rouge during the evening hours. It’s now enclosed and done up with a distinctly Urban Outfitters vibe, right down to the jute ottomans and Crosley turntable. The food, some of it done in consultation with nutritional chef Sarah Pachelli, is just as crunchy—think grain bowls, spirulina donuts, and a charcoal-infused “detox” tonic. Though MatchaBar recently closed its Williamsburg store, it’s supplying the matcha here. Hence, kale-matcha margaritas that are $5 during the epic happy hour, from noon to 6pm (frozen margs are also $5 and oysters are a buck). Careful with that six-hour happy hour, or you’ll end up trying to crawl into the decorative bathtub.

Not that everything’s healthy-healthy here. In addition to the obligatory avocado toast, there’s ricotta toast, and bacon, egg and cheese on a biscuit. And Nutella beignets nod to Loosie’s’ New Orleans theme.

Sounds like a pretty chill place to plunk down with a laptop until evening rolls around and it’s time for cocktails and an oyster po boy.
