unnamed-3 copyJust in time for Halloween, Eddie Dean of Pacha is pre-opening his new club in the old Verboten space on Monday, and it now has a name, Schimanski. That’s going to be a hard one to remember unless you happen to be a fan of German crime shows. Just remember it has nothing to do with Zablozki’s, nearby.

The folks at the new Williamsburg club are keeping details under wraps beyond what we learned back in July, i.e. that Dean and director Andrew Inomata, a holdover from Pacha, are hoping to “tap into the maker-culture of DIY Brooklyn with arts, music, food, and community life.”

But we do have the club’s initial lineup. The first few parties will feature Spanish DJ/producer Edu Imbernon (who runs the Eklektisch label), London DJ and live-music duo Eli & Fur, Los Angeles producer and house DJ Jon Charnis, disco-edit duo Tiger & Woods, Brooklyn electronica DJ/composer Morgan Geist (head of the Environ label), and Brooklyn house/techno/disco fixture Jacques Renault. Other names on the poster include Radio Slave, Breakbot, Lauren Lane, Monoloc, Delta Functionen, Volvox, Veronica Vasicka, Paul Raffaelle, and Sascha Dive.

You can see the schedule at the club’s website, which is now live. Guests for the Halloween party on Monday have yet to be announced; entry is via RSVP, though admission isn’t guaranteed.

Schimanski, 54 N. 11th St., Williamsburg; 718-486-2299.
