Can I float something by you?
I know, I know, it’s still kind of nipply out, as Clark Griswold would say. But our favorite party boat, The Frying Pan, is reopening for the season in a matter of hours, and you might want to get over there before those massive lines start forming again.
Ya heard right: Pier 66 Maritime, the boozy barge off of West 26th Street, is reopening tonight. When we messaged the Frying Pan’s Facebook page to confirm that this was really, really happening, we were told the bobbing boozery will be in “soft-opening” mode, meaning there’ll be a limited menu. But the bar will be fully stocked. Apparently a few adjustments have been made for the 2016 season, though they haven’t been announced yet. This is all we could get for now: “If you’ve been here before and you happen to look into our kitchen this weekend you will notice major changes.”
Remember: If you’re attending some of the Tribeca Film Festival events at the SVA Theatre on West 23rd Street, the Pan is a quick walk west. She’ll be open starting at 5 p.m. tonight and starting at 11:30 a.m. tomorrow and Sunday.
