Greenpoint cartoonist Tony Wolf spotted this “very creepy looking Knight In Shining Armor” outside of Polish standby Krolewskie Jadlo on Manhattan Avenue and immediately tweeted his concern: “This restaurant always had 2 older-style (and much cooler) armored knights in front but this guy is new.”
Look, we’ve seen weirder shit than this outside of restaurants, but to some extent we have to agree with Tony here: this “Protector of the Pierogis” looks like he’s straight outta SkyMall, and fixing to go medieval on the ass of the next person who tries to open an “art objects” store selling bespoke incense burners. Plus, he totally undermines the next installment of Wolf’s “Greenpoint of View” comic.
