Sure, we tipped you off to some boat parties earlier this summer, but you can never have too much fun by the water — especially when you have Instagram followers to impress. Don’t miss these pair of sun-splashed affairs.

JunXion Goes to Mushroom Park
Aug. 15, buses depart 9 am from X Marks The Lot, or cars pay $10
Just because the ravers over at JunXion now have a party pad in East Williamsburg doesn’t mean they’re putting the breaks on their mobile adventures. Mid-August, their magic buses will head to Lido Beach, Long Island’s “mushroom park,” named for its mushroom-like concrete pavilions. Last year’s party looked very hippie strippy, and this year’s promises bocce, soccer, racquetball, swimming pools, and music. Plus, “live massage.” Is there any other kind? Either way, count us in.

Slideluck Boatshow
July 23, 6pm, aboard the Lilac, Pier 25 (West St. and N. Moore St.); free with rsvp
Slideluck has brought its potluck slideshows to plenty of unconventional spaces, but this might just take the cake. This time around, they’re boarding the Lilac, a 1930s lighthouse tender that’s hosting a summer-long art exhibit and event series. The Bushwick-based org will show the hour’s worth of short films first screened at their first Slideluck Shortshow. Among them will be a piece by Crystal Moselle, director of The Wolfpack, as well as clips from the guerrilla film remakes created by her documentary’s subjects, the Angulo brothers. There’s no need to bring food this time — it’ll be provided along with brews from Brooklyn Brewery. The after party keeps with the boat theme, and will be nearby floating raw bar Grand Banks.
