As if all the holiday markets weren’t enough, these pop-ups and sample sales are still more reason to fill yr shopping bag with locally made chicness.
Carleen Pop-Up at Erica Weiner
Nov. 21 to Jan. 1 at Erica Weiner, 360 Atlantic Ave., Boerum Hill; 718-855-2555
A B+B favorite, Bushwick-based Kelsy Parkhouse, is debuting her Carleen line’s Fall 2014 collection via a pop-up inside of Erica Weiner’s Boerum Hill shop. Look for a “Weiner”-ized version of Carleen’s “Utopia” sweatshirt and outerwear incorporating vintage quilts.
Erica Weiner studio sample sale
Nov., 14 from 4pm to 8pm; Nov. 15 and 16 from noon to 7pm at 50 Dobbin Street, Greenpoint
Erica Weiner, the cult-status jewelry crafter with a focus on antique-derived pieces, is having a sample sale that promises “a glorious mix of antiques, production samples, and discontinued styles.” If you can’t make it to Greenpoint this weekend, the sale is happening online as well.
One-Stop Pop-Up Shop
Nov. 21 from 7pm to 10pm at Antoinette, 119 Grand St., Williamsburg
Golly magazine is calling this a pop-up, but with the PBR flowing, this one-night-only event is more of a par-tay. Either way, there’ll be copies of the fresh new women’s quarterly on sale, exclusive designs and prints by Brooklyn phenom Tea Leigh and 20 percent off of Antoinette’s vintage duds.
Detour Project at Moleskine
Moleskine, 75 University Pl., Greenwich Village
Moleskine’s Greenwich Village store offers way more than just that journal your significant other got you for your birthday that one time just so they could secretly read it and then shred it in tears during the subsequent breakup. There are also bags, wallets, and Simpsons and Peanuts branded products. To celebrate the store’s opening, the notebook of Italy’s haute finger painter Paolo Troilo will be on display. That’s cool, but we would’ve preferred the Spike Jonze one.
