Two takeout spots born in the East Village are heading west this month — the first, ChikaLicious, will open on Bedford Street this week. 

As noted back in July, when we told you the popular East 10th Street dessert bar will also be opening a Williamsburg outpost in about a year, the West Village spot is a blend of the formal ChikaLicious Dessert Bar and its more casual to-go nook across the street. When it opens Saturday, The Dessert Club by ChikaLicious — open till midnight daily — will have a 12-seat, L-shaped tasting counter offering $12 a la cart desserts as well as a $32 tasting of three. New dine-in options include a white chocolate mousse on lavender-marinated kiwi with a poppy-seed puff, and a steamed pudding cake with warm vanilla anglaise and shredded apple. And new to-go items include a custard cream with apple sorbet and frosted pecans.

On the savory side, we’re told Otto’s Tacos, which opened in the East Village a year ago, will be opening its second location, on Seventh Avenue South, later this month. While we wait for an exact date to be nailed down, there’s more news to share: this Tuesday to Sunday, the taqueria is offering a beer-battered codfish taco topped with jalapeño tartar sauce.
