It’s been 25 years since Ricky’s opened its first store (called Ricky Love) in Greenwich Village, and the quirky/kinky/funky/punky cosmetics and accessories chain is still going strong: we recently noticed COMING SOON signage in the window at 250 East Houston Street, between Avenues A and B. No, this isn’t a new permanent location: we’re told by the folks at corporate headquarters that it’s a Halloween pop-up that’ll likely open sometime next month.

Sigh, summer’s really ending, isn’t it? It’s enough to make a man buy some “Raven Black” Manic Panic and go full Goth.
