A construction worker fell 25 feet into a trench at the Whole Foods construction site in Williamsburg.
The worker was believed to be undertaking a concrete job immediately before the fall, said a fire department spokesperson. He was rescued just after noon and taken to the hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries.
