New Yorkers will line up for cat cafes, and they’ll line up for James Franco, but will they line up for a fast-food joint that has 6,000+ locations around the world (including in Staten Island)? Yes. Apparently, they will.
Despite Grub Street’s entreaty that Manhattanites go to Nick Morgenstern’s new Lower East Side ice cream parlor in lieu of giving Dairy Queen their money, there were about 25 people spilling out of the door of the borough’s first DQ around 6 p.m. today — long after the morning giveaways ran out.
Maybe people just wanted to be on tv (there was at least one news crew on-site). Or maybe they wanted some love from this Blizzard mascot? Or maybe a Blizzard is just what you need in 60-degree weather.
