The Seaport Music Festival has announced this summer’s lineup of free shows and while the roster doesn’t boast the big-ticket indie acts (Animal Collective, Hot Chip, The National) or throwback legends (New York Dolls, Suicide, Wire) of previous years, there’s plenty to get excited about.
The festival’s 13th installment, located at Fulton and Water Streets while Pier 17 is redeveloped, will take place Friday nights from July 11 through August 29, and will include performances by Big-Ups (whose frontman we spoke to back in January) Tropicalismo-influenced Boogarins (an Other Music Recordings artist), Black Bananas (featuring Jennifer Herrema of Royal Trux), Brooklyn indie-pop outfit Snowmine, Pitchfork darling Torres, and more.
