A former marble factory on the corner of Metropolitan and Driggs is about to get a biodynamic wine bar, a new location of San Loco and a massive urgent care center.

San Loco, which is relocating from North 4th Street to 637 Driggs, will open next week. , at 633 Driggs, is expected in July.

The wine bar, set to open at 639 Driggs by the end of the month, will sell European wines — most of them organic and biodynamic — as well as hard liquor, beer on tap, cold cuts, cheese and other finger food.

Sort Of will be the first local bar for Aymeric Visinet — who owns two in France — and his business partner Christoph Dufraux.

Ray Martin at LeBlanc Organization, the real estate group that did the deals for both San Loco and Sort Of, said he believes Driggs is in a turnaround period. “Driggs is the biggest street that’s come alive in the last year,” he said, citing seven stores he rented on the street over the last several months. “There used to be nobody on these streets.”

Things are definitely picking up: a couple of blocks down from the Marbleworks Lofts, where units go for $3,650 and up, Beyond Vape has opened in the new Karl Fischer building on the corner of Grand.
