After debuting in Williamsburg, Class Attire has brought its Pop-Up Tour to the East Village. And just like Pawel Althamer did at New Museum, the creators of the chalkboard t-shirt have invited artists to throw their own work up on the store’s walls.
Don’t expect anything as grand as “The Neighbors”: the new shop, at 341 Lafayette Street, between Bleecker and Bond, is a mere sliver of storefront. But if you feel like squeezing in, artists are invited to bring their sharpies, paint, or spray cans this Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. We’re assuming you get an “I’m Awesome” balloon.
