Ha’Chi, the Asian fusion restaurant located at the base of the Thompson LES, shuttered with little fanfare yesterday.
When we walked past, the interior was in disarray, and the restaurant’s former floor manager Gery Le explained that renovations were underway for a new restaurant that will be going in, but couldn’t give us any more details.
That being said, Ha’Chi has closed and re-opened before, so maybe this is all a big tease.
It’s not the first time an Asian spot has closed in the Thompson LES building. The ubiquitous folks at Blue Ribbon took over the second-floor spot that used to be Shang and opened a beer garden there earlier in the summer.
