Hundreds gathered for a rally in Union Square this afternoon, to protest the not guilty verdict in the shooting death of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin. On the scene was organizer Kevin Powell of “Real World” fame, mayoral candidate Bill de Blasio (who has said that his Afro-sporting son looks like Trayvon Martin), and an attorney for Kharey Wise, one of the Central Park Five.
