Cassette closed (or got “mangled in the tape deck of Greenpoint,” as Eater put it in a headline) back in November, but we’re happy to report that Gowanus-based Threes Brewing is taking over the French-Catalonian spot’s handsome home for a pop-up that could just become permanent.

Threes @ Franklin & Kent opens tomorrow at 113 Franklin Street, and though this location definitely won’t have the summer vibes of the indoor-outdoor space in Gowanus (not in this weather), it’ll at least have the same food purveyor, the one and only Meat Hook.

Needless to say, there’ll be Threes offerings on tap, and you can snag newly canned brews like the Unreliable Narrator (an IPA said to have tastes of mango, southern tea, dank, lychee, and snow pine) and I Hate Myself (another fruity IPA with a touch of wintery pine resin).

A Threes spokesperson told us that after the opening party tomorrow at 7pm (expect some “surprise guests”), the brewery plans to “play it by ear” during the next couple of weeks before deciding on an end date, and “there is a chance it’ll become permanent.” So hit that pop-up hard if you want burgers and beer forever.
