Williamsburg Creamery Closes On Bedford, Making Way For Davey’s Ice Cream

After two years at 201 Bedford Avenue, Williamsburg Creamery will officially close at 10:45 p.m. tonight.

“We sold our establishment to Davey’s Ice Cream,” explained a person who answered the phone at Williamsburg Creamery.

Van Leeuwen Opens a Pop-Up Scoop Shop in Williamsburg

Van Leeuwen has long been parking one of its six trucks on Bedford Avenue, but now South Williamsburgers won’t have to cross the Mason-Dixon line Grand Street for those vegan and all-natural scoops. The shop, which already has brick-and-mortar locations in the East Village, Boerum Hill and Greenpoint (where its production facility is also located), just set up a summer pop-up at 254 South 2nd Street.

Greenpoint’s Manhattan Avenue: ‘Right Now It’s Just on the Edge’

It’s lunchtime at Polski Meat Market on Manhattan Avenue in Greenpoint, and business is dead. Again. An older woman makes pierogis in the back, while her son Adam Parys mans the meat case, which contains nine kinds of kielbasa, and another employee straightens the shelves. In half an hour, only one customer steps inside.
