Opening tonight: a three-nights-only popup art installation in an abandoned, soon-to-be-demolished Lower East Side market hall, organized by the cult New York street artist Hanksy. We got a preview tour of the space, where the ten artists have been working overtime to finish their murals.

With Donald Trump getting lambasted in the form of Ronald McDonald and then a piñata, you knew it was only a matter of time before the Lower East Side’s consummate pop-culture absurdist took a swipe. Not to be outshined by his namesake street-artist-turned-amusement-park-operator, Hansky just threw up this masterpiece on the corner of Canal and Orchard. Unlike other Hanksies, this one appears to be pun-free — until you look at the sign next to it: “Private Property. No [ahem] dumping allowed.”

Can you smell it in the air? Maybe it’s best you don’t, noxious spray paint fumes and all. LoMan Arts fest hath begun and with it a whole new array of street art-bedecked public features.

Tomorrow night there’ll be a party in Williamsburg to celebrate the release of Outdoor Gallery, a book of photographs that author Yoav Litvin hopes will be viewed for decades to come as a historical document of the city’s street art. Most of the 46 street artists Litvin spotlights have contributed works to an exhibit he curated at 17 Frost.

A while back, we clued you into the pop-up that Katz’s Delicatessen was opening next to its longtime digs. The Space, at 203 East Houston, launches with a party at 7 p.m. tomorrow, and it turns out the deli’s taste in artists is as sharp as its pastrami blades. No, they didn’t get Banksy (he was busy hitting the Upper West Side, Staten Island and Chelsea over the weekend) but on board for the collab are self-declared “fartist” Hanksy, Baron Von Fancy (maker of the “Blow Me” balloon), Rich Tu, and Kenzo Minami.
