Back in September, HBO announced that it was renewing The Deuce, David Simon’s gritty drama about the rise of the porn trade in ’70s and ’80s NYC, for a third and final season. Now vintage cars are lining Orchard Street between Stanton and Rivington in preparation for a shoot tonight.
Earlier today, we were told by a car wrangler that the shoot would take place “up and down the block” at 5pm. But gear is just being rolled in as of 7pm, so this would seem to be a nighttime shoot. Signage says it’ll last till 11pm.
Not a bad night to cruise by and try to catch a glimpse of James Franco or Maggie Gyllenhaal, or at least admire an old Porsche.
Update, 8:30pm: The scene, apparently depicting an art opening, is currently being shot inside of Van Der Plas Gallery.
