Year of the dog, indeed.
Earlier this afternoon, the MTA reported that the F train was experiencing service changes and delays because of a dog on the tracks at the York Street station.

According to a tweet from NYPD Transit, the precocious canine (named Dakota) escaped from a nearby dog park and onto the tracks. NYCT officials and the NYPD worked together to reunite the owner and her doggo, who suffered only a minor injury. Service resumed a few hours later, with Dakota heading to the vet– hopefully on a leash this time.

While a dog on the tracks is pretty unusual, the subway-riding peacock still takes the cake.
