Not sold on the items we found in the East Village’s quirkier gift shops? You may want to hit these two markets, coming to town this weekend only.

Oddities Holiday Flea Market
Dec. 2 and 3, 11am to 6pm, at Brooklyn Bazaar, 150 Greenpoint Ave., Greenpoint; VIP tickets granting 11am entry are $20 in advance, regular tickets are $5 at the door, starting at noon.
The thrill-seekers at Atlas Obscura are putting on this market featuring many of the city’s purveyors of perversity. You’ll find many of the same vendors that appeared at the late Morbid Anatomy Museum’s flea market, including Duncan Wilder and his taxidermy mash-ups such as the “queer deer.” Also on the taxidermy tip: Divya Anantharaman, the “the dead animal addict” who created some truly insane heels. Another B+B favorite, artist Tara McPherson of Williamsburg gallery Cotton Candy Machine, will be on hand, as will be the folks of East Village oddities shop Obscura (here’s hoping they bring some of their reptile wine). Alamo Drafthouse’s House of Wax will also be showing off some of its spooky specimens. Basically, this event, curated by “avid bone collector” Ryan Matthew Cohn, is PETA’s nightmare and a goth’s dream.

Hello everyone!! The Oddities Flea Market is happening in just TWO days! Here is a map so you can plan your visit accordingly. Please note that there has been a change for the Burns Archive, they will only be attending Saturday. To take it's place, House of Wax will be moving from the lower level to the main floor. Sincerest apologies if this causes any inconveniences. If you take any photos of the event or your purchased goodies make sure to tag us and our vendors on Instagram! We would love to see your experiences at our event. We can't wait to see you all there! #brooklyn #brooklynfleamarket #shopsmall #oddity #oddities #odditiesandcuriosities #odditiesforsale #artist #anatomy #antiques #victorian #death #deathpositive #mementomori #fleamarket #skull #human #anatomy #wunderkammer #collection

Phoenicia Flea
Williamsburg Hotel, Dec. 2 and 3, 11am to 6pm at Williamsburg Hotel, 96 Wythe Ave., Williamsburg; free.
This roving flea market, founded upstate in 2014, comes to Williamsburg this weekend. While its offerings will be decidedly more normie than the Oddities flea, you’ll still be able to find some unique vintage and artisan accessories, jewelry, clothing, and housewares. The organizers are promising 80+ makers and merchants from the Catskills, Hudson Valley and surroundings. There’ll be a special emphasis on items for men (hello, beard wax). Skip brunch, because there’ll be food and drink as well.
