It’s a good week for fans of throwback sadcore. A new My Bloody Valentine album was revealed to be in the works, and James Franco’s Smiths-esque side project Daddy released a video for the remix of “I Am These Things.” Now this. Cold Cave has released its latest nod to ’80s synth-pop in the form of “Glory,” a new song that sounds like it belongs on the Marie Antoinette soundtrack.

A video for the tune was filmed at Echoplex rehearsal studios in Los Angeles, where the band’s founder, Wes Eisold, moved after a stint in the East Village. (All the kids are doing it!)

In the video, Eisold, who at one point was Cold Cave, is joined by a full band, including his collaborator and romantic partner Amy Lee, who directed the video, and his fellow Heartworm Press author Max G. Morton. They’ll all be back together on an upcoming stateside tour, followed by some European dates with yet another reborn ’80s act, The Jesus and Mary Chain. Tour dates here.
