In case you’re unfamiliar, Duncan’s was founded by Galen Duncan, who interned with Dickson’s Farmstand Meats and, in September of 2014, began using the butcher’s meat to serve burgers at various pop-up locations in, mostly, Williamsburg and Bushwick: Pinkerton Wine Bar, The Rookery, AP Cafe, Loosie Rouge, SHWICK Market, and even a cart parked at Mccarren Park and elsewhere.
Late last year, the burger joint settled into the kitchen at Dromedary Bar, the “urban tiki bar” at 266 Irving Avenue. These days, Duncan sources his pasture-raised, dry-aged beef from Fleishers in Brooklyn.
The giveaway will be going on March 19 from 1pm to midnight. If the 3-oz quick-serve burgers (normally $3.49) are gone when ya get there, Duncan’s also serves cheapo tacos, nachos, wings, and roast pork sandwiches.
