Get ready for your Instagram feed to once again be flooded with play-doh-like technicolor baked goods: The Bagel Store is back in business. The Williamsburg shop has become an obsession among both Brooklynites and out-of-towners, who’ve been lining up for blocks in order to get their hands on candy-colored rings of carbo-joy. Call them the new cronut or the new “churron,” the churro-macaron hybrid that had everyone queuing up on Broad City last night.
Last week, the rush was apparently just too much, and the store had to close down for maintenance, which left many rainbow-bagel seekers with a little less artificial food coloring in their lives. Some may have even considered hopping across the Atlantic to get their fix in London. But now the wait is over. The Bagel Store has officially opened its doors again.
“Color Will Reign Over The Bagel Kingdom In In All The lands,” promised Scot “Worlds Premier Bagel Artist” Rossillo.
