Nevermind recent indicators that he has retired from touring — David Bowie fans have a lot to be excited about, including a new photo book, a forthcoming play based on The Man Who Fell to Earth that will feature original songs by the Thin White Duke himself, and an epic box set featuring some of Bowie’s best albums (David Bowie aka Space Oddity, The Man Who Sold The World, Hunky Dory, The Rise and Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars, Aladdin Sane, and PinUps) as well as a concert recording, the soundtrack to Ziggy Stardust, and two discs worth of singles and rarities.
Other Music is celebrating the box set, David Bowie: Five Years 1969-1973, with a blowout wall display that, it turns out, was designed by Trixie, the seven-year-old daughter of owner Josh Madell. According to the store’s Facebook page, the little wonder is Bowie’s “#1 fan.” When he gets wind of this tribute, Bowie is definitely inviting her over for some lasagna.
