A woman was pushed onto the tracks at the Bleecker Street station during the Monday morning rush, and police have identified the bottle-heaving man in the above video as their suspect in the assault. Here’s the NYPD’s description of the incident.
On Monday, June 1, 2015 at approximately 0900 hours, the victim, 28-year-old female, was on the south bound “6” train on Lafayette and Bleecker Street, when she was approached by a male suspect acting erratically. The suspect stated to her “what are you looking at”, and ran to a garbage pail where he removed an empty plastic bottle. The suspect then threw the bottle at the victim and proceeded to push the victim onto the tracks. The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital where she was treated and released.
