769-15 MTN ROB SQD 1The man shown here has netted nearly $3,000 in a string of East Village hold-ups over the past week, the police say. According to authorities, the suspect — thought to be in his forties — enters bodegas and laundromats and displays either a gun or a knife in order to get cashiers to fork over money. Here’s the NYPD’s description of the incidents, all of which occurred in a five-day span within the Ninth Precinct. The most recent one occurred just this morning.

Incident #1 – At approximately 0325 hours on Thursday, April 2, 2015 at 315 1st Avenue (One’s Fruit and Grocery) in the confines of the 13th Precinct. $400 removed.

Incident #2 – At approximately 2220 hours on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 315 1st Avenue (One’s Fruit and Grocery) in the confines of the 13th Precinct. $950 removed.

Incident #3 – At approximately 1416 hours on Sunday, April 5, 2015 at 242 East 14 Street (I.Q. Decor) in the confines of the 9th Precinct. $366 taken.

Incident #4 – At approximately 0300 hours on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 271 1st Avenue (I Green Market) in the confines of the 13th Precinct. $600 taken.

Incident #5 – At approximately 1705 hours on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 66 Avenue A in the confines of the 9th Precinct. $200 taken.

Incident #6 – At approximately 2105 hours on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 13 Avenue A (New Up and Up Laundry) in the confines of the 9th Precinct. $250 taken.

Incident #7 – At approximately 0145 hours on Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at 229 Avenue B (East Village Fruit and Vegetable) in the confines of the 9th Precinct. Attempted robbery only.
