Police are looking for this guy in connection with 10 burglaries in the East Village. His alleged m.o.? Climbing through windows and swiping electronic items.
The burglaries — spanning mid-July to mid-October — have occurred at night, in the early morning, and even in the middle of the afternoon. The photo above shows the latest incident, which happened sometime between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. on Oct. 20. You can clearly see the man subduing a jack-in-the-box so he can go about his pilfering.
Despite the pattern, recent East Village crime stats indicate that as of Oct. 26, burglaries were down 23 percent for the year.
