This isn’t the first time we’ve seen the infamous “Looking For a Girlfriend” flyer warped into an ad, but who cares: this wacky version by the peeps at Fair Folks & a Goat totally succeeded in getting our attention and alerting us to the launch of their East Village coffee bar.
The West Houston Street design shop and cafe opened its East Village store late last year, but the eastside store is only now launching its coffee program, which allows subscribers to pay $25 a month for unlimited espresso drinks and cold brew straight from the tap — at both locations. If you’re too ashamed of your caffeine addiction to enroll in a coffee club, rest assured a portion of your money goes to a charity that gives goats to villagers (or, if you prefer, a foundation that’s rebuilding homes in post-Katrina New Orleans).
That’s a useful thing to brag about if you’re looking for a girlfriend.
