Tiny dogs in costume and human-wielded iPhones taking pictures of said tiny dogs were present in equal proportion yesterday at the Dog-E-Dog Howl-O-Ween parade at the McCarren Park Dog Run in Williamsburg.
Inspired by its Manhattan cousin, the Tompkins Square Halloween Dog Parade, Dog-E-Dog owner Eric Arnstein founded the annual event three years ago as a way to introduce Williamsburg and Greenpoint dog lovers to local pet businesses and charities. The Sunday event featured a raffle, costume and trick (for treat!) contests, and collected money and donations for Barc Shelter.
