It’s getting hard to keep track of all the Brooklyn markets now that they’re popping up in Manhattan, even. So you can forgive yourself for missing the opening of Shwick, the much ballyhooed bazaar that — true to its name — finally hit Bushwick on Saturday.
If you did miss it, you’re probably wondering what all the hoopla (as in, months of stickers and flyers everywhere) was about. Luckily, the ruthlessly self-promotional folks at Shwick captured their “market of makers” on Instagram. We’re sharing those opening-weekend shots with you via the above slideshow, so you can see the John Waters rings, nacho-print shirts, and delicious-looking sandwiches that were on offer.
The market continues at Six Charles Place, Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays till 7 p.m.
