Heavy Woods has the awesome Tchoup Shop and now The Woods — not to be outdone by its fellow Woodsman — has also gone and snagged an in-house bar-grub provider. (So much for that taco truck.) The owners of Smorgasburg’s Landhaus set up shop at the South Williamsburg party spot last night, and are now whipping up their “farm-to-sandwich” cuisine out of a brand spankin’ new kitchen.
The $14-and-under menu, as you can see below, offers some Southern standbys (jalapeño-cheddar hush puppies; chicken with biscuits and gravy) as well as some multiculti touches (there’s a chorizofied take on the ol’ Scotch egg, plus crab rangoon-style wontons filled with pimento cheese). There is also — it should be noted — maple-glazed bacon on a stick.
As you can see from the above photo, the bar’s 94-seat front courtyard has been decked out with beer garden-style seating and a tiki bar. Count us in!
