Sweet Chick Delayed in Ex-Fish Digs; GalleryBar Closing in Future Fish Digs

The gutting of Motor City and ‘inoteca aren’t the only recent developments on Ludlow: Sweet Chick, which was expected to open in the former Max Fish space yesterday, has delayed its launch by a couple of weeks, according to a rep who said the new date hasn’t been set.

Over on Orchard Street, GalleryBar has announced on Facebook that its goodbye party will be May 17. “It’s been a great ride and we appreciate you all,” says an invite that promises live painting and a DJ. “Please join us one last time for cocktails and art.”

Max Fish is planning to take over GalleryBar’s space, and has submitted a liquor license questionnaire indicating that it may host free live music and DJs, and serve bar snacks like Chas-Chuechli (Swiss cheese tartlets), chili and hard-boiled eggs.
