The potential resurrection of Max Fish on the Lower East Side isn’t the only interesting lil tidbit on the just-released Community Board 3 calendar. Also slated to appear at the April 17 liquor-license committee meeting is an entity known as Pies ‘n’ Thighs.

It’s down for a wine and beer license at 43 Canal Street, near Ludlow Street.

Is the wildly popular Williamsburg comfort-food spot planning a Manhattan outpost? “That’s going to be something that the owners would have to talk to you about,” said an employee over there. We’ll let you know if we hear back from them.

The sleepy area near the Chinatown/Lower East Side border is perking up: across the street from 43 Canal, a team that includes folks from Angel’s Share and Numero 28 are planning a pizza spot called Three Points (it’s also on the docket for the April 17 meeting). Nearby, Rosette and Skal just got raves from Serious Eats and the Daily News, respectively.

By the way, Pies N Thighs might not be the only one bringing biscuits and booze to the area. Also on the agenda is Biscuits and Bourbon, slated to take over the Tiny Fork space at 167 Orchard Street.
