If there’s a better way to celebrate/cope with back-to-school season, we’d like to know about it: Bayside! The Musical! has returned to the East Village, and this time the raunchy Saved by the Bell parody, previously at the Kraine Theater, is having an extended run at Theatre 80, every weekend through November.

The reimagination of Bayside High — from the creators of the Showgirls musical — takes Jessie Spano’s pill-popping to the next level, plays up the wrestling-fueled homoeroticism between AC Slater and Zach Morris, and puts the (in)famous aerobics-video episode to song and dance: “You can pause and rewind this scene,” sings the cast, “just remember we’re only 17.” Read the review here and get your tickey-tix here.
