Last time we saw Jim Gaffigan in the hood, it was a little over a year ago, when he was shooting what was then a pilot for CBS. Now The Jim Gaffigan Show is really happening, albeit on TV Land this summer. For proof, look no further than the above photo from this afternoon’s shoot at St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral (his actual church) in Nolita.

In the shot we saw filmed, the pale king and his wife (played by Ashley Williams) walked out of church service with their five children (two of them in a double-wide baby stroller and one strapped to its mom) only to be cornered by a priest (Tongayi Chirisa) who asked Gaffigan for his autograph and then had him to pose for a photo. Also starring in the show are Michael Ian Black and Adam Goldberg. Hannibal Buress, Chris Rock and Dave Attell also make appearances.

The show, based on the stand-up’s life raising four kids in a Bowery walkup, had been shooting around Madison Square Garden for the past week, according to a sign we spotted, and other locations include Katz’s Delicatessen, Veselka, Great Jones Cafe, Smith & Wollensky, and Gotham Comedy Club, per photos on the show’s Facebook page.

And no, craft services did not consist of Hot Pockets.
